Job Order Form and Database Upload.
Q: I already have a database, what format should I submit it to you in?
A: We have the ability to work with Windows based databases. Please save your database as one of the following: Excel (.xls), Text (.txt), ASCII (.dat) or d-Base (.dbf). If you are working in Works, there is an option to save as an Excel spreadsheet, please do so as we cannot process Works files. If you have questions about saving your file, please call us.
Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: We require a 3-day turnaround from the time the materials arrive in house to the time your piece reaches the Post Office.
Q: When is payment due?
A: Payment is due prior to your job leaving our warehouse to go to the Post Office.
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit cards as well as checks.
Q: How long will it take for my mail to reach my clients?
A: There are several factors that affect the amount of time it takes for your piece to reach its destination. The major factor is the class of mail that you choose. You have the option between First Class Presort and Standard Presort.
Q: What is the difference between First Class and Standard mail?
A: First Class Presort requires you to have at least 500 addresses to mail to while Standard Presort only requires 200. With First Class, undeliverable mail will be returned to you and will reach your clients quicker. Standard will not be returned and will take slightly longer to get to its destination.
Q: I have a letter and several inserts that I would like to go into my envelope. Do I have to do this myself first?
A: No, we would be happy to insert all of your pieces into your envelope. Depending on the size and shape of the envelope and the inserts, the charge will vary.
Q: I am sending out an invitation to my clients. Can you put a fancy font and a stamp on the envelope to make it look more personal?
A: Yes, we have many fonts to choose from and we would be happy to recommend one based on your individual needs. Additionally, we can machine apply either a First Class Presort or Standard Presort stamp to your piece.
Q: Do I have to supply the materials for my mailing?
A: The choice is up to you. We are able to use your materials or provide them for you. Cost depends on the item we are providing and we would be happy to provide you with an estimate.
Q: How should I submit a file to be printed on your Indigo digital press?
A: Please submit a high-resolution PDF with all fonts outlined/embedded. Colors must be converted to CMYK. If your job is 4/1, 1/1 or 1/0, please do not use CMYK black on the 1 color side.
Q: Where do I submit my PDF file to be printed?
A: If you have not yet spoken with a member of the Curley team, please fill out our contact form or call us at (508) 398-4580 x 17. If you have, fill out a job order form and upload your artwork to our FTP site.
Q: What is on-demand printing?
A: We are trying to help our clients save money and the enviroment by only printing what they need for the time being. When you need more, simply call us and request another print.
Q: What are the benefits of printing on-demand versus the traditional offset that I am used to?
A: With offset, your cost decreases the more pieces your order. Because of this, people often order very large quantities and often find themselves having to throw a majority of it out years or even months later. What if you move? Your staff changes? Your services expand? ... Print less and benefit more with on-demand digital printing.
